Born in Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey, Alan O'Brien received his Bachelors Degree in Communications from Seton Hall University in film and TV production and began a career in film. He worked for a few years in New York as a film and sound editor on "B" movies. As the industry began to digitize, he decided to go back to school.
Alan got his Masters of Art from William Paterson College in computer animation and has been animating for the video game industry since 1995. He has worked for Midway Games, Sony, Activision/High Moon Studios and Rockstar Games. His work includes titles such as Ten Pin Alley, NFL Blitz 2000, Red Dead Redemption, and Grand Theft Auto.
He has been instructing students part time for over 10 years and "enjoys every minute of it!"
