This course covers principles and practices of designing for the World Wide Web, including interface design and development, developing information architectures, designing for usability, creating and optimizing graphics for the web, and creating web animation. The course builds on the skills developed in MAT 125 and introduces you to tools and techniques for designing web sites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You will learn to harness the power of the industry leading web design software suite, the Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash), to create effective and compelling web pages. The course also covers using CSS for layout and style, working with templates, Javascript behaviors, jQuery integration, and more.
