I exit through my hole in the screen door; it seems to be the popular entrance for all the kids in the area. I like to make sure all the birds and other riff raff are out of the yard. If I don’t do it, who will? Zach, the oldest boy, and I are going to climb the hill and check out the view from up there. My eyes aren’t what they used to be so I need him for his young eyes.
After the highground is secure we head back to that patio. I take the opportunity to sit on Zach's lap every chance I get. And today we hang out on the fire pit.
