Larry Scott
Larry Scott is the Tax Partner of Scott & Cronin LLP, one of the leading Certified Public Accounting firms in the San Diego area. Mr. Scott graduated from San Diego State University with an undergraduate degree in Business, Math and Economics and studied accounting in the Graduate School of Business. After starting his career with Price Waterhouse he formed his own practice. Mr. Scott holds a Series 66 securities license in addition to being licensed as a CPA in California. The emphasis of the practice is individual and business taxation, with many of the firm’s clients being closely held corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. Closely held businesses offer unique tax planning opportunities for the individual and business to provide the maximum benefit and protection to the shareholders and/or partners. Mr. Scott has extensive expertise in real estate transactions, offshore and international taxation and tax planning for high wealth individuals. The work has required trips to London, the Isle of Man and Kuwait, with each trip giving a unique perspective on the continuing tax planning process. Larry served as campaign treasurer to numerous campaign committees in the early years of his practice, and the firm continues to work on behalf of many local, state and federal candidates, officeholders and ballot measure committees. Mr. Scott serves as Chairman of the RC Baker Foundation, a private philanthropic organization. Larry is an active fundraiser for Challenged Athletes Foundation, the Boys and Girls Club of San Dieguito and other charitable organizations. He is a past treasurer of the California Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness. Mr. Scott is an avid cyclist, participating in many charitable and challenging rides. He also enjoys competitive ballroom dancing and travels extensively. Larry has two children and has fun keeping up with six grandchildren.

Susan Dobson
Susan joined Scott & Cronin in July 2011 as Office Manager. Since then she has become the Firm Administrator, assisting in the planning, organizing, and implementing of the firm's day-to-day operations. Her primary responsibilities include managing client billing, accounts receivables, accounts payable, bank reconciliation as well as general support to the firm’s three partners and accounting staff. Susan also has roles in Human Resources and coordinates all benefits for the firm, including the 401(k) plan and compliance. She is fully dedicated to superior client service and facilitating the growth and success of the firm. Susan lives with her husband, Noel, in Oceanside. Her interests include reading, yoga and travelling. Venezuela, Ghana, Toronto and Michigan are a few of the places Susan has called home. Free time is spent relaxing on the beach, enjoying friends and family, or exploring the scenic roads of California with her husband on his Harley.
