In 1995, Mary founded Corporation for Better Housing, a nonprofit organization formed for the purpose of affordable housing with ancillary social services in California. Mary holds a Masters of Public Administration from USC, a Bachelors Degree in History from Rutgers University and did graduate work at Columbia School of Social Work.
