What is "the internet"?
The internet is a public network system composed of wireless connections on devices all over the world. Information can be transmitted from a computer to any other computer on the internet and exist on both computers. Users can share information and knowledge with another user anywhere in the world.

What is "the web"?
The web is a system of public webpages that can be accessed through the internet. Basically a large network that connects millions of networks and computers around the world. It is used to access and navigate the internet.
The web is more a social creation than a technical one. I designed it for a social effect - to help people work together - and not as a technical toy. The ultimate goal of the Web is to support and improve our weblike existence in the world. We clump into families, associations, and companies. We develop trust across the miles and distrust around the corner.

What is an "app" and what are its key differences from a "webpage"?
An app or mobile application is a software program designed to preform actions for a specific function , a lot faster than a mobile website. The difference between an app and a webpage is that apps store their data on a local mobile device whereas websites use web servers. The features of an app are more accessible to the users.
Mobile is the enabling centerpiece of digital convergence. Mobile is the glue for all other digital industries to use when approaching convergence, but mobile is also the digital gateway for the real world to join in this global metamorphosis of human behavior
