About Me

Portrait of Janice McIntire-Stearn

My name is Janice. I have attended the Art Institute of California - Orange County and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Web Design and Interactive Media. To give you as sense where the school was located before that location closed down, it was located on the corner of Harbor Drive and Sunflower Ave in the city of Santa Ana, California. I attended with the intent of getting an animation degree although one year into the program, I developed tendonitis in my wrists which resulted in no longer being able to draw. Heartbroken, I was able to meet up with the acedemic advisor for my program to discussed with my future. While talking to my acedemic advisor, I menchioned that I always had a nack for computers, so I ended up switching to the Web Design and Interactive Media major. While in the program, I fell in love with programing and enjoyed getting lost in writing code. I graduated with my degree in 2009 and for the next six years, I worked in the field. Fastforward to 2020, with the help of friends and family, I was able to enroll in MiraCosta College where I have been taking business courses while working on my certification for Software Development and update my skills in web progamming. My goal is to become a full stack developer within three to five years. I am happily married to my best friend and we have three wonderful four legged children that we absolutely love and adore.
