A Summer Treat
My favorite flower is lavender, and my favorite beverage is lemonade. So, I love this lavender lemonade recipe by Elise Bauer.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp dried lavender flowers
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1.5 cups lemon juice
- 2 cups cold water
Preparation
- Combine sugar and dried lavender flowers in a medium bowl.
- Pour boiling water into bowl and stir until sugar is fully dissolved. Cover and allow to sit for at least 30min.
- Strain the syrup into a pitcher to separate the lavender flowers.
- Stir in lemon juice and cold water. Serve with ice.
Tips
- Make sure to use culinary lavender. Do not use lavender essential oils or extracts.
- The lavender syrup can be refrigerated and stored for two weeks.
- For the best taste, use fresh lemon juice. You can squeeze the lemons while waiting for the lavender syrup to finish.
