Refining the concepts introduced in MAT135 and MAT155, the emphasis of this course is on the process of creating effective, efficient, and dynamic solutions to complex visual communication problems. You will explore proven and experimental design principles and learn to apply these concepts to create posters, flyers, catalogs, brochures, and more. Each stage of the design process is explored, with emphasis on developing a creative problem-solving approach and refining your personal design sense.
MAT185 is a the final course in the Graphic Design sequence. While it is acceptable to take MAT155: Graphic Design 2 after taking MAT 185, it is highly recomended that MAT135: Graphic Design 1 be completed as the first course in the sequence.
