In this course you will be introduced to the visual concepts of successful graphic design. Concepts include design theory, principles of 2D design, color use and psychology, word/image relationship, typography, structure, and layout. The course will develop and refine each student's personal design sensibility by emphasizing both appropriate and creative media presentations as they relate to design theory, cultural and historical influences.
MAT 135 is one of the foundation courses within MAT. It is highly recommended that you complete this course as one of your first courses in MAT, as the skills you learn in this course are applied to every course within MAT.
